CFPA is a non-profit organization and the trails are maintained by volunteers. Purchasing the Walk Book helps support CFPA and these trails. They also show the trails online at ctwoodlands.org, but for a map you can put in your pocket, the CT Walkbook is the best. It was pretty well marked, until (two hours later) we came to a fork and the Blue/Yellow Trail seemed to stop. Since we weren't in the mood to double back and jump over the fast flowing large stream, we had some thinking to do. Go right or left or straight. We tried each, but wound up doubling back to Freeman Road. Since it was getting late, we decided to hoof it back to 154 via Freeman. Fortunately, a very nice resident of Freeman Road asked if we'd like a lift back to the parking lot. Of course, we were thrilled, since we didn't particularly want to walk down a busy road. Next time, we'll begin earlier and try to do more of the Blue Trail. There were lots of small waterfalls and streams; quite beautiful actually. I would definitely do this one again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8410961879681386812.post-78861404803160139732014-12-12T10:15:39.197-05:002014-12-12T10:15:39.197-05:00Excellent blog.
